Course Project

A mandatory course project needs to be done in order to be able to participate in the final exam.

• The project is due in the week between January 15th and January 19th. Please arrange an appointment with Cristian Duda (cristian.duda@inf.ethz.ch) or Peter Fischer (petfisch@inf.ethz.ch) to get a review & acceptance for the project.
• The project can be done in teams with up to three participants.
• The aim of the project is to build an RSS reader based on the Micro XQuery engine.
• This document describes the required features of the reader.

To allow you to focus on the data processing part, we provide a simplistic Swing GUI that already embeds the XQuery engine. You can it download here. Please look into the included README.txt on how to run and how to extend this GUI. This bundle already includes the mxquery.jar needed to run the examples. Make sure however that you have the latest file, by using the information below. If you use the Micro XQuery engine from the command line, the command line parameters are explained in this simple "manual" page.

For those interested in the very last version of the Micro XQuery Engine, we provide the results of our continuous integration builds. The built jar file is available via the "Build Artifacts" link. Please note that these builds might not be as stable as the regular versions of the engine.
